Frequently Asked Questions

In this section, I will ask and answer some of the questions I've heard before which people find difficult to understand or have been distorted by satanic deceptions. Questions many believers don't have an answer for or may be confused about. The Scriptures are very deep and profound and somethings are hard to understand. I will explain the best I can about some of these concepts I have come to realize. I do not have all the answers, but I do study the Word of Elohim. By the blessings of His grace and His Spirit I can see many things I never could see before. I hope this will help you see the true character of Yehovah Almighty and His Son Yeshua the Messiah.

If Yehovah is a loving Elohim (God) why would He burn people in hell forever?

Many people believe that Yehovah will burn you in hell forever if you don't obey Him. Is this what the Scriptures really say? The term hell is used in the Bible many times. Throughout the years, people have thought this to be a physical place Yehovah sends people who are evil. It is said once you die, you either go to heaven or hell. But what is the true Biblical version of hell & death.

There are some verses in the Bible that can be interpreted that way but, we must look at this carefully. Do the Scriptures use terms like "Eternal Hell Fire & Everlasting Fire"? In fact, yes it does but let's expose what the Bible really means. You must take every verse in context and match Scripture with Scripture. We will need to break down the truth about hell.

When people die, does the Bible say you go straight to heaven or hell?

John 11:11-14

This He said, and after that He said to them, “Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep; but I go, so that I may awaken him out of sleep.” The disciples then said to Him, “Master, if he has fallen asleep, he will recover.” Now Yeshua had spoken of his death, but they thought that He was speaking of literal sleep. So Yeshua then said to them plainly, “Lazarus is dead."

1 Kings 2:10

Then David slept with his fathers and was buried in the city of David.

Acts 2:34

For David did not ascend to heaven, and yet he said, "'Yehovah said to my Master "Sit at my right hand"

There are many more verses in the Bible that say when you die you are sleeping. Even at the second coming of Yeshua it says.

1 Thessalonians 4:16

For Yeshua Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Messiah will rise first.

So the Bible says when you die you are sleeping waiting for Yeshua to resurrect you at His second coming. It doesn't make sense to say when you die you immediately go to heaven or hell. Because why would Yeshua have to resurrect you at that point. Imagine, you never accepted Yeshua as your Savior and continued in sin. You eventually die and wake up in hell burning in torment. But all of a sudden, Yeshua resurrects your old body and puts you back within your body and says "You have done evil in your life, I'm sorry hell is your judgment. I'm sending you back to hell." That makes no sense what so ever. How about vice versa, you're in heaven walking on the golden streets. Suddenly Yeshua comes up to you and says "It's time for me to go back to earth and raise the dead and take the righteous. You must come with me so I can put you back in your body resurrect you and bring you back here." This is not what happens my friends. When you die the Bible says you fall into a dreamless sleep waiting for the second coming of Yeshua, both those who accepted Yeshua and those who did not, are sleeping when they die. Then you are either raised from the dead, when He comes or you're translated if living and taken to heaven. The wicked dead stay sleeping till the thousand year reign is over (Revelation 20:5). Then to judgment of the wicked takes place, which is the when the lake of fire consumes the wicked and they perish forever.

The word for hell in the Bible is actually mostly translated from the Hebrew word "she'ol" which simply means the grave, not a burning place of eternal torment.

Now, let's break down why people get confused. There are terms that can be interpreted as burning forever but it's not saying you will physically burn for all time.  A loving Elohim (God) would not force His creation to be punished that severely for such a short time of living. I'm sure you would like proof so let's examine the Scriptures. These will be the main verses to speak about eternal hell fire.

2 Thessalonians 1:9

They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of Yehovah and from the majesty of His power.

Revelation 21:8

But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."

Matthew 25:41

"Then He will also say to those on His left, 'Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels.

Jude 1:7

just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, since they in the same way as these indulged in gross immorality and went after strange flesh, are exhibited as an example in undergoing the punishment of eternal fire.

Sodom and Gomorrah was to be an example to the wicked generation in the last days. Question, is Sodom and Gomorrah still burning today? Or is what the Scriptures referring to that the fire will consume the wicked and the consequences are eternal. Meaning there is no coming back. Let's get verification by the Scriptures this is the case.

Psalms 37:20

But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of Yehovah shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.

Malachi 4:3

"You will tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day which I am preparing," says Yehovah Elohim (God) of hosts.

If anyone deserves to burn forever its Satan himself right? Let's see what the Scriptures say about his outcome; does he reign in hell as king or perish?

Ezekiel 28:14-19

You were the anointed cherub who covers,
And I placed you there.
You were on the holy mountain of God;
You walked in the midst of the stones of fire.
“You were blameless in your ways
From the day you were created

Until unrighteousness was found in you.
“By the abundance of your trade
You were internally filled with violence,
And you sinned;
Therefore I have cast you as profane
From the mountain of God.
And I have destroyed you, O covering cherub,
From the midst of the stones of fire.
Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty;
You corrupted your wisdom by reason of your splendor.
I cast you to the ground;
I put you before kings,
That they may see you.
“By the multitude of your iniquities,
In the unrighteousness of your trade
You profaned your sanctuaries.
Therefore I have brought fire from the midst of you;
It has consumed you,
And
I have turned you to ashes on the earth
In the eyes of all who see you
.

“All who know you among the peoples
Are appalled at you;
You have become terrified
And
you will cease to be forever.

So as you can see Satan will not be the king of hell with burning people forever. The Scriptures say he will be turned to ashes on the earth. The Scriptures clearly say when you die you sleep. There are some phrases that can be misunderstood as eternal hell fire but this simply means the consequences of sin is death forever. Meaning once you burn up in the lake of fire meant for Satan and his angels not humans. There is no coming back. You perish forever from existence. Even living forever in hell is eternal life and the Bible says..

Roman 6:23

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of Yehovah is eternal life through our Messiah Yeshua.

John 3:16

For Yehovah so love the world He gave His only Son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.

So where did this doctrine of Yehovah burning people forever in hell come from. Well the Scripture do have some difficult verses you must study to understand but truly the doctrine of everlasting hell was mainly a pagan theology. The Roman Catholic Church also twisted this portion of Scripture to set fear in people to come from church and pay indulgences for their relatives in a place called purgatory. This wasn't quite hell but a place not so evil people burned off remaining sins before going to heaven. Ask yourself could you be more loving or compassionate than Yehovah, even the worst people wouldn't burn an animal alive for eternity. So how could a loving Elohim, burn humans for all eternity?

Why didn't Yehovah destroy Satan before, why do we have to suffer?

The question always comes up, why does Yehovah allow so much suffering? Why didn't He destroy Satan a long time ago and all this wouldn't have to happen?

From our mindset that seems like an easy fix but, let's stop for a moment and look at this from His perspective. Before Lucifer (Satan) caused the first sin of pride to enter into the universe, no angel had ever heard a lie before. Once Lucifer started to desire the position of Yehovah, he then sought out other angels to help him in his cause. Now Yehovah could have destroyed Lucifer right there but, what would all of the other angels have said. Since all Yehovah's creations have free will to make choices, maybe some of them would have wondered why Elohim (God) destroyed Lucifer so fast. Some may have wondered if the lies Lucifer spread were true. Perhaps some may even want to rebel also out of confusion. So Yehovah knowing all things and all possibilities, knew that in order to prove He is love and His government and ways are just and true; He would have to allow Lucifer to play the game of sin to the bitter end. This ultimately will show what the end of sin is. In this trial, Lucifer was able to deceive 2/3rd's of the angels the Bible says. Some trusted Lucifer and others stayed true to Yehovah. This rebellion was permitted and is still permitted to show everyone that sin will only lead to death. Also a very important aspect of this circumstance is for lost souls. Although Yehovah could destroy sin from the world, He has mercy on people who haven't repented or existed yet. They deserve a chance to hear the gospel and be saved just like anyone before them.

2 Peter 3:9

The Master is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.

Yehovah will one day rid this planet of sin and death but not until the whole world has a choice to choose which side they want to be loyal to. Either choose life and Yeshua or hold to sin and perish with it.

Matthew 24:14

"This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.

Many assume because Yeshua said to the thief on the cross. Luke 23:43 "And He said to him, "Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise."

Closer inspection shows that it's very important where you place the "Comma", for example:

Luke 23:43 "And He said to him, "Truly I say to you today, you shall be with Me in Paradise."

In the original text there was no comma, plus more proof Yeshua wasn't with the thief in heaven that day, is because after his resurrection He told Mary Magdalene: John 20:17 Yeshua said, "Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father.

The thief died on Friday with Yeshua, but Yeshua didn't enter into heaven until after Sabbath (Saturday)

Leave your questions in the contact section of this page. Aslong as you appear sincere and genuine, I will do my best to answer any and every question you have. No question is too much. I used to be an atheist and have probably asked many of the same questions. The only way we will know is if we ask, study and pray for His truth to be revealed.
