Both Father & Son

Recently I have been running into those who believe Yeshua is Yehovah (The Father) Some may already know this to be obviously not correct, but others are confused.

I will admit, it’s not like that mistake can’t be made. Because of translations replacing the name of Yehovah with “LORD” and calling the Messiah Lord also. When we read verses like…

Romans 14:11 “For it is written: As I live, says the Lord, every knee will bow to Me, and every tongue will give praise to God.”

Now we know every knee will bow to Yeshua, although how this verse is written; it can make some believe Yeshua is Yehovah, because of the title “Lord” in this verse.

This is the problem when translators decided to pick and choose what to change a word to. They also call the Father (Yehovah) Lord also.

Jeremiah 34:2 “"Thus says the LORD God of Israel, 'Go and speak to Zedekiah king of Judah and say to him: "Thus says the LORD, 'Behold, I am giving this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he will burn it with fire.”

Lord in the original text is calling someone "Master"

Even people were called Lord by other men.

Genesis 24:12 "Then he prayed, “Yehovah, God of my master Abraham, make me successful today, and show kindness to my master Abraham."

Now, let’s see what was the original word used in Jeremiah 34:2 that was translated “LORD”

Strong’s # H3068 יְהֹוָה

Meaning: Yehovah, yeh-ho-vaw' from H1961;

(The) self-Existent or Eternal; Yeho-vah, Jewish national name of God.

This is why Christianity is so confused. Is this error deliberate? That I can't say for sure but, I do know it has brought about errors in theology. If you notice, now a day’s most people only truly glorify Yeshua disregarding the Father. Not to down play the importance the Son of God. Still, we must remember what the Father has declared.

Isaiah 42:8 "I am Yehovah, that is My name; I will not give My glory to another, Nor My praise to graven images.”

Isaiah 43:11 "I, even I, am Yehovah, and there is no savior besides Me.”

This comment is in direct opposition to what most believers say today. Most believe that Yeshua is the Savior of mankind. And of course it would seem to be. For example…

John 1:29 “The next day he saw Yeshua coming to him and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”

If we are verse plucking and simply using this verse to justify that Yeshua is the one who is the Savior, then it is true. Case closed! But, let’s assume Yehovah gave us an entire Bible because we are to use it all.

Notice it says, “The Lamb of God”

Think of it this way. If a true lamb was being sacrificed today. Who was the one offering the lamb? Is it the man who owns the lamb or the lamb itself?

The man of course, he is the one offering his own lamb. So looking at this properly, it is the Father who is saving us. We also know this by the very name given for Messiah at birth.

Matthew 1:21 "She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Yehoshua, for He will save His people from their sins."

This verse can cause many to stumble also. The name Jesus means nothing, it’s simply a name without meaning. So in our Bibles we read it like this…

Matthew 1:21 “"She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins."

What’s wrong with this? It implies Jesus is the Savior because the true name was changed. Let’s read it how Mary would have heard it from the messenger Gabriel.

"You will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Yehovah’s salvation, for He (Yehovah) will save His people from their sins."

The true name of the Son of God means “Yehovah Saves”

This is why getting back to the original meanings are important. Bias translators have decided to completely distance themselves from the Jewish heritage out of fear of persecution in the early 1st century and out of anti-Semitism.

Yeshua and all the writers except one (Luke) of the New Testament were from Jewish decent. To understand the writings of a Jewish man, you must understand the culture in which they lived. If we attempt to distance ourselves from them, we will lose some important concepts in Scripture and become lead away by incorrect interpretations of Scripture.

This is why there is so many different denominations today. There are many different versions of the same book. So many pick their own imperfect or corrupted version and then argue with another person about their imperfect and corrupted version.

I know Satan has cause such division in the body by introducing many different kinds of Bibles. He knows Yeshua said…

Mark 3:25 “If a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.”

That is another rabbit trail to follow at another time. Allow me to get back to the point of this blog.

Yeshua is not Yehovah! Let’s make this so there is no doubt involved. Examine these verses…

Mark 3:17 “and behold, a voice out of the heavens said, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased."

Why or how could Yeshua call out from heaven during His baptism to Himself?

Many have seen Yeshua’s face in person while He walked the earth and also after His resurrection. So listen to what Yeshua says in this next verse.

John 6:46 "Not that anyone has seen the Father, except the One who is from God; He has seen the Father.”

How could this verse be true if Yeshua and the Father (YHVH) are the same entity?

While Yeshua was here ministering to those in Jerusalem. He says…

John 6:38 "For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.”

How could Yeshua be the Father, but also not do His own will; yet do His own will at the same time?

Now some may ask “Well in the Old Testament, many people said they seen God’s face.”

This is true but, which God? Remember Yeshua was in the beginning with Yehovah. Joshua son of Nun fell on his face when he saw the messenger of Yehovah right before he was to conquer the promise land. No human was to ever bow to anyone but God alone.

Joshua 5:14 “He said, "No; rather I indeed come now as captain of the host of Yehovah." And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and bowed down, and said to him, "What has my master to say to his servant?"

But, notice what happens when John attempts to fall before a certain messenger (Angel)

Revelation 22:9 “But he said to me, "Do not do that. I am a fellow servant of yours and of your brethren the prophets and of those who heed the words of this book. Worship God.”

We can see that the captain of the messengers (Angels) of the armies of Yehovah must be a part of the Godhead. This is who every man has seen.

This brings up the case, who is Michael then?

Michael is a Hebrew name meaning: He who is as EL (God)

Michael is simply a title.

Daniel 12:1 “Now at that time Michael, the great prince who stands guard over the sons of your people, will arise. And there will be a time of distress such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time; and at that time your people, everyone who is found written in the book, will be rescued.”

A prince is the son of the King in the eartly manner correct?

Compare…

Revelation 12:7 “And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels.”

The dragon is a title for Lucifer the fallen angel. Satan is also a title, it means “Adversary”

So looking at this logically. Michael “He who is as EL” is another way of referring to Yeshua before He came as a child and ascended into heaven.

Let’s just make another observation. In all the epistles of the New Testament. The writers seem to acknowledge both Father and Son as two separate entities. For example…

Romans 1:1-4 “Paul, a servant of Messiah Yeshua, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God (YHVH) the gospel he promised beforehand through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures regarding his Son, who as to his earthly life was a descendant of David.”

Galatians 1:1-2 “Paul, an apostle sent not from men nor by a man, but by Yeshua Messiah and God the Father, who raised him from the dead and all the brothers and sisters with me.”

Notice in the beginning of Galatians Paul says…

“By Yeshua Messiah and God the Father, who raised him from the dead.”

Paul clearly says here that it was the Father who raised Yeshua. So the one doing the saving is Yehovah, because if He didn’t raise Him from the dead. We would all be doomed to eternal separation from Yehovah.

The point of this blog was to show that Yeshua is not the Father, Elohim of Israel Yehovah.
